About our service
The dermatology service manages skin problems and any disease of the nails, hair or mucous membranes.
We provide comprehensive care for infants and children with rare and complex skin problems that usually require multidisciplinary care in outpatient and hospital settings.
Our service includes several dermatology clinics, vascular laser service, and Hospital in the Home (HIH) for wet dressings.

Our department is using to manage referrals.鈥疶he Consultmed platform allows health professionals to send e-referrals to us securely. 鈥�

Referral and appointment process for parents and carers
Request a referral
To make an appointment at our clinic, you will need a referral from your GP, paediatrician or specialist.
They will assess your child, discuss your concerns, and make a referral to the appropriate service.
A referral will also be needed for the:
- Vascular clinic
- Psoriasis and eczema outpatient education and treatment centre
- Laser service
Track your referral
Our department uses Consultmed to manage referrals. Your referring clinician sends the e-referral to us using the secure Consultmed platform.鈥�
Once we receive the referral, we will send you an email with your tracking information. We will update you as we process the referral and book your appointment.
To receive these updates, please ask your referring clinician to include your email on the referral.鈥�

Clinic information
Our clinics and services
The Department of Dermatology provides:
- Several weekly general dermatology clinics
- Vascular birthmarks multidisciplinary consultative clinic once every three months
- Psoriasis and eczema outpatient education and treatment centre in Turner Day Stay Ward
- Severe eczema clinic once a month
- Vascular laser service in the Day Surgery Unit
- Hospital in the Home (HIH) for wet dressings
- Quarterly combined skin/genetics clinic, as well as a quarterly skin/scleroderma clinic run with the rheumatology department.
Clinic location: Level 2 Medical & Surgical Outpatients and Bandaged Bear Clinics
Atopic dermatitis and consultants
Patients with atopic dermatitis should be referred to one of the consultants below in their private office or to a local dermatologist in their private office.
- Dr Peter Hogan, Wednesday mornings
- Dr Li-Chuen Wong, Monday mornings
- Dr Andrew Ming, Friday afternoons
