About myVirtualCare

myVirtualCare (myVC) web-based videoconferencing platform that allows healthcare providers to connect with 

  • patients
  • consumers
  • carers
  • interpreters
  • other service providers.

The platform supports multiple participants in a single call that is controlled by the clinical lead. It can also be used to conduct multidisciplinary reviews and consultations.

myVC allows providers to have voice only (telephone) or audio-visual (videoconferencing) calls with patients, carers, interpreters and other health professionals.

The platform is only approved for patient consultations. It is not to be used for other functions such as internal team or project meetings and interviews.

Detailed information on myVirtualCare, including user guides and training modules for clincians, are hosted and maintained by the .

External providers

Parents or carers of your patients may request your attendance at their child's virtual care appointment. This request can be made if the patient is deemed clinically suitable for virtual care at the time the booking is scheduled.

If a request for your attendance has been made, you will recieve an email containing the patient's name, clinician's name, date and time of the appointment and a link to join the appointment.

Please speak with the parent or carer of the patient regarding any associated costs that you need to charge them.
