Come to our Family Fun Day at Randwick and see the cranes named

Come and celebrate our two tower cranes being named at a special Family Day on 6 July 2023 from 10am to 12:30pm.

The event, featuring a barbecue lunch, games, activities and fun characters, will be held opposite the High Street entry to the existing Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick, in the front yard of our builder John Holland Group’s office.

We hope the event will be a fun way for families to enjoy the school holidays, while learning more about the new Sydney Children's Hospital Stage 1 and Minderoo Children’s Comprehensive Cancer Centre (SCH1/MCCCC) building that is under construction.

What will be involved?

The SCH1/MCCCC project team hosted a ‘Name the Cranes�� competition in May, open to patients, their siblings, and the children of staff. We received almost 100 entries, which were narrowed down to select two winning names.

The crane names will be revealed at a ceremony from 10am, where the two winners will be awarded their prizes and colouring in competition winners will also be awarded. Children and their families will then have the opportunity to enjoy a barbecue and assorted games and activities.
