Visiting CICU
Visiting times
Parents and carers can visit their child at any time, we kindly ask that only one or two visitors attend at a time.
Visiting CICU can be overwhelming for siblings, please discuss with your nurse whether siblings should visit.
Handover rounds and medical procedures:
- Medical handover round occurs anytime between 8am and 10.30am each day, we ask that all visitors leave the CICU during handover to allow the team to maintain confidentiality while discussing each patient鈥檚 care.
- There may also be occasions when you are asked to leave while procedures are performed on your child or a child in a neighbouring bedspace. Your bedside nurse will discuss this with you.
Access: Entry doors to the CICU are always locked and visitors must use the intercom to request entry.
Parking
The Hospital car park, located on Barker Street is privately operated by Point Parking and is open 24 hours a day.
If your child needs to stay in hospital for more than five days, we recommend you take advantage of the five consecutive day visitor pass.
