About our service

Medical imaging, also known as radiology or diagnostic imaging, uses non-invasive imaging methods to help doctors to diagnose and treat your child鈥檚 illness.

We use X-rays, CT scan (CAT scan or Computed Tomography), MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) and ultrasound to produce images of the body. We interpret the images and send the report to your child鈥檚 doctor.

Medical imaging services is a shared service with the Prince of Wales Hospital and provides comprehensive imaging services to both paediatric and adult inpatients and outpatients.

Hours:

  • 8am 鈥� 5pm Monday to Friday
  • MRI appointments: 8am - 10pm Monday to Friday
  • We provide a 24-hour emergency service
