About the appointment

You will be welcomed on arrival by a team member. You may be asked to fill in some consent forms and questionnaires in the waiting room.

Once this is completed you and your child will be seen by one of our paediatricians. 

The paediatrician appointment will gather a thorough medical and developmental history and ask lots of questions about your child鈥檚 development. 

Your child will also be physically examined by the paediatrician.

 The Children鈥檚 Hospital at Westmead

The FASD service operates within the Adolescent Medicine Unit located on level 1. Look out for hospital volunteers who can assist with directions. 

  • When you enter the Main Entrance, you will be on Level 2
  • You will need to walk past the shops and then take the lift or the rainbow ramp down to Level 1
  • Once on Level 1 please follow the signs to 鈥榃ade Ward鈥� and 鈥楬all Ward鈥�
  • The Adolescent Medicine Unit will be on your left.
