FASD handbook: Photos and blood tests
Photos
Photos help with the assessment . With your permission, photos will be taken during your visit to our clinic.
- a sticker will be placed on your child鈥檚 head
- close-up photos will be taken
- we will ask your child not to smile for these photos
- this will be in a private room and the camera will use a flash
- the service may take photos of your hands and feet.
3D photography
Your child will briefly put their hair in a net-like cap and the piece of equipment will scan your child鈥檚 face.
We take photographs of all children in the service as we are looking for specific facial features that are associated with FASD.
The paediatrician will explain this in more detail.
