Family Connect and Support (FCS) is a NSW Government service that can help you and your family connect to the right services and support at the right time. The FCS provider in your local area can help you with your individual needs and circumstances. FCS is free and voluntary. It is available across NSW, and anyone can contact or make a referral to FCS.

Carer Gateway is an Australian Government website providing free services and support for carers. If you care for a family member or friend with disability, a medical condition, mental illness, or who is frail due to age, Carer Gateway can help you.

Carers NSW works with all carers regardless of their age, location, life-stage or circumstances. This includes those caring for individuals with support needs relating to ageing, disability, health and mental illness.

Siblings Australia is a unique national organisation promoting better support for siblings of children and adults with disability. Siblings Australia:

• Provides direct support to siblings.
• Offers education and support, empowering parents to support their children.
• Works with service providers within the health, education, and disability sectors to assist them in providing more informed support to siblings.

Healthy Mothers Healthy Families (HMHF) is a website with online modules designed for mothers of children with a disability. HMHF helps families to find their balance though empowering mothers to seek their own balance of healthy activities for themselves and their family.

• Evidence based information about stress, diet, physical activity and much more

The Disability Gateway is an Australian Government website that is a central point of entry for referrals to disability information, services, and programs. It provides information on health, housing, employment, transport, and everyday living.

CPActive is an advocacy campaign from Cerebral Palsy Alliance. The CPActive community brings together people with disability, families, disability workers and allies who are passionate about creating positive, lasting change for people with disability. CPActive’s goal is to amplify the voices of lived experience to make sure people with disability have a say on the issues that affect them.

The Cerebral Palsy Forum connects parents of children with cerebral palsy with each other. Families can ask questions, share experiences, and offer support

Brainwave Australia provides practical, financial, and social support to families and children with brain illnesses and injuries.    

• Equipment and Therapies Program â€� Brainwave provides specialist mobility and rehabilitation equipment, and allied health therapies to children impacted by brain illnesses and injury. 
• Camp Brainwave â€� A camp run over one and two days for families and children with a brain illness or injury to connect and enjoy activities for all ages and abilities. 
• Kids and Sibs Program â€� An action-packed school holiday program that provides a space where children and their siblings can bounce, climb, and swing in a safe and supported space.

The Get Healthy Service helps people over the age of 16 living in NSW to have better health and wellbeing. It’s a free program to help you reach your health goals. You do it from home, at a time that suits you.

The program includes 6 or more regular confidential coaching calls with a university qualified health coach, who will help you set and work towards your goals.

When you join Get Healthy, you get a customised plan to help you create healthy habits. The program can support you to: eat healthy, get active, reduce the amount of alcohol you drink, reach and stay at a healthy weight, or gain a healthy amount of weight in pregnancy.

Ask Izzy is a website that connects people in need with housing, a meal, money help, family violence support, counselling and much more. It is free and anonymous, with thousands of services listed across Australia. If you’re on the Telstra or Vodafone mobile networks, you can access Ask Izzy on your phone even if you don’t have credit or access to Wi-Fi.

Kindred is a not-for-profit organisation that supports families with children aged birth to 8 years old with a developmental delay or disability and medical needs. Kindred is by families, for families. Everyone who works for Kindred has a child with a disability and is trained to draw upon their lived experience to support other families.

They offer a “Peer Connect program� uniting parents and caregivers just starting out on their journey with those further along the way. They offer “My Time Peer Support� groups for parents and carers raising a child with a delay or disability. It’s a place for you to unwind and talk about your experiences.

The Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS National) is an interpreting service for people who do not speak English and for agencies and businesses that need to communicate with their non-English speaking clients.

TIS National provides access to interpreters over the phone or to attend an appointment in person. The majority of TIS National services are free to non-English speakers
