We completed the restructure of our clinical operations to support the 星空体育 in delivering its future strategy. The new structure ensures strong site-based leadership and identity at both our hospitals and improves professional alignment for allied health, nursing and medical staff. It also enhances our strategic planning capability, allows greater flexibility in considering new models of care, and improves our readiness for commissioning the hospital redevelopments.
The new site leadership teams at both hospitals provide clarity on roles, responsibilities and accountabilities for day-to-day operations, while the clinical streams and clinical units ensure strong governance of clinical outcomes, service delivery models and quality of care.
The consultation process included working groups, focus groups and more than 70 staff forums. These allowed us to better understand our ways of working and helped us develop detailed mapping of allied health, nursing and medical structures which informed the final structure. The new structure provides better support for our staff, and an ongoing evaluation process will ensure the structure remains optimised, allowing us to provide the best care to children and their families.
