We appointed our first Aboriginal Health Director in November 2023, to lead the 星空体育 in closing the gap through improving cultural safety, services and experiences for Aboriginal children and their families.
The Aboriginal Health Director also supports the 星空体育鈥檚 development as a culturally safe organisation and employer of choice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
鈥楢ll About Me鈥� (eMR) tile
The PEACH project developed the 鈥楢ll About Me鈥� Electronic Medical Record (eMR) tile in collaboration with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients and families. The tile gathers culturally important information, enabling clinicians to provide patient-centred and culturally appropriate healthcare.
Safeguards
Safeguards is a rapid-response mental health team providing innovative and best-practice care to children and young people facing an acute mental health crisis. The Safeguards team provides community-based outreach, crisis intervention and short-term support to children, young people and their families. The team helped 53 young people between February and June 2024.
